Bright Data aimed to establish and strengthen its presence in the Japanese market by launching an initial advertising campaign focused on driving qualified traffic to its Japanese website and increasing brand awareness among relevant target audiences. The campaign was designed to support early-stage market entry efforts and generate measurable visibility and engagement in Japan.
The campaign significantly outperformed expectations, delivering 68.4M impressions vs. 16.8M planned (405%) and 97.8K clicks vs. 52.5K planned (186%). Efficiency also improved, with CPC reduced to $0.10 from $0.19 and CPM lowered to $0.15 from $0.59.
Traffic-focused channels such as Line Japan Ads delivered cost-efficient results, while Google Search Ads achieved the highest CTR through high-intent keyword targeting. Although overall CTR was 0.14% vs. 0.31% planned, this was influenced by Yahoo Japan Display Ads prioritizing high-viewability impressions to maximize awareness at scale.
Overall, the campaign successfully combined awareness and traffic objectives to strengthen Bright Data’s market entry in Japan.
