Kroi released “Method”, the opening theme for the anime SAKAMOTO DAYS Part 2. To tap into the anime’s popularity in Southeast Asia, PONY CANYON—the label behind Kroi—wants to collaborate with regional creators and use the anime’s release as a hook to promote both the song and the band to Southeast Asian audiences.
To promote “Method”, we worked with 12 TikTok creators across Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia—from lifestyle influencers to cosplayers and J-pop opinion leaders. Using the theme of “main character”—inspired by the song’s contrast between daily life and epic action, mirroring SAKAMOTO DAYS—creators produced pose challenges, POV skits, informational videos, and song covers. TikTok ads then amplified their content to reach even wider audiences. This approach paid off: the campaign delivered nearly 3 million views and over 40,000 engagements, achieving an engagement rate of 1.49% (above the 1.11% industry benchmark) and peaking at 3.15% in Thailand. Just as important, audience sentiment gave us valuable insight: many viewers already recognized Kroi from previous anime OSTs. This shows that awareness is not only growing but also that fans are connecting the band’s identity with anime culture—an outcome that points to clear opportunities for further expansion in Southeast Asia.
