In March, the client reached out to us to boost visibility and drive traffic to the pay-per-view page for ONE 172, a major fight event held on March 23, 2025, at Saitama Super Arena. The event was headlined by the highly anticipated flyweight kickboxing super-fight between Takeru and Rodtang. Our objective was to boost visibility and drive conversions leading up to the event through strategic Yahoo Ads placements targeting the local Japanese audience.
The campaign used a combination of Yahoo Japan Search and Display Ads, featuring various ad formats such as banners, carousels, responsive ads, and videos. Each creative emphasized the main event visuals and compelling headlines, while the carousel format showcased all fights in the order specified by the client.
The campaign was strategically structured to measure performance across ad types and optimize creatives based on engagement. Through continuous refinement, a balanced mix of prospecting and retargeting audiences, and high-impact placements, the campaign surpassed initial KPIs—driving over 312,000 clicks and delivering strong visibility for the event.
